Writing Assistance and Quantitative Tutoring Services

Writing Assistance

We provide one-to-one consultation for all current SPH students, assisting with the various stages and strategies of the writing process. From brainstorm to final proof, from macrostructures to mechanics, from analysis to rhetoric, we’re here to help you craft intelligible, exhaustive, and ultimately compelling work.

Make an appointment below:

  • Students may arrange in-person appointments, offered on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons and evenings, via this link
  • From 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesdays, in Room 611, students seeking feedback on discrete issues may consult with a tutor on a walk-in basis

When booking a consultation, the material up for review should be forwarded to the tutor at least three days prior to the session, along with a statement of relevant questions or concerns.

Quantitative Tutoring

We offer access to quantitative services for assistance with coursework, practicum, and dissertation analyses. Such services cover but are not limited to R, SAS, and SPSS programming, model building, hypothesis testing, statistical regression and data visualization. Quantitative tutoring services aim to provide students a stronger basis for and understanding of applied statistical concepts, report generation, and interpretation of results.

Students should arrive prepared with specific questions. For example:

  • What is the difference between non-parametric and parametric tests?
